Lena Dunham just wrote an important response to Trump’s disgusting misogynistic remarks caught on tape
The blatant misogyny of Republican presidential candidate, Donald Trump, has been exposed once again. Earlier today, The Washington Post published a video from 2005 in which a hot microphone caught Trump gleefully admitting to groping women because “when you’re a star, [women] let you do it,” among other utterly vulgar remarks.
In the video, Trump is riding an Access Hollywood bus to The Days of Our Lives set while speaking to one of the hosts of the entertainment news program, Billy Bush. Trump, who was newly married to wife Melania at the time, discussed trying and failing to seduce a woman in extremely vulgar terms during what he assumes to be a private conversation. Then, the men notice actress Arianne Zucker. Trump says:
“I’ve got to use some Tic Tacs, just in case I start kissing her. You know I’m automatically attracted to beautiful -- I just start kissing them. It’s like a magnet. Just kiss. I don’t even wait. And when you’re a star, they let you do it... Grab them by the p***y"
This man could be our next President.
Hillary Clinton released a succinct and important response.
This is horrific. We cannot allow this man to become president. https://t.co/RwhW7yeFI2

In a statement, Dawn Laguens, Executive Vice President of Planned Parenthood Action Fund, called Trump’s statements what they really were:
"What Trump described in these tapes amounts to sexual assault. Trump’s behavior is disgusting and unacceptable in any context, and it is disqualifying for a man who is running for president of this country."
And actress and writer Lena Dunham wrote out an important, detailed response on Instagram, asking a series of questions that force us to imagine a horrifying reality in which Trump is President.
"What if that attitude pervaded everything he did, his approach to policy relating international relations and civil rights and medical care? What if every woman in America's heart broke, all at once, because her country proved her body and her agency were worthless to them? What if that happened next month?"
