“The Leftovers” Margaret Qualley dances in the best perfume ad we’ve EVER SEEN
Margaret Qualley of HBO’s The Leftovers was just featured in a BEAUTIFULLY bizarre perfume ad by writer and director Spike Jonze, and we’re seriously *so* about it. It’s so weird, so strange, and a true work of art.
Take a look! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5tuHIhXyxrI
Plus, she had a GREAT time.
“Hey everybody,” she wrote on Instagram. “Check out the video I did with Spike Jonze for @Kenzo Thank you so much Spike, Carol, Humberto, and Ryan Heffington! I had such a blast and love you all ❤️❤️❤️”

The fact that she enjoyed making the ad totally comes through in the video! She looks so free. We love it.
She looked *totally* beautiful! AND got to show off her dance moves.

We’re thinking (hoping) that this could also mean a general shift away from those super pretty, yet TOTALLY overdone perfume commercials (you know the ones — shadows, mystery, everything in black and white). In a world where femininity is suffocated into one definition, it’s so effing rad to see a woman being allowed to focus on her craft, rather than her appearance. It’s not about being delicate, or being soft, or being cutesy. It’s about being bold and sometimes scary and sometimes super, super weird.
We’re major fans!
