Everything we need to speed-watch on Netflix before tomorrow (eek!)

Guys, all good things must come to an end. With the heaven-like qualities that Netflix possesses, we had been hoping our beloved streaming service would be exempt from this reality, but alas, it is not.

Though we’re seriously pumped for the arrival of October (Fall! Leaves! Sweaters! HALLOWEEN), the new month brings an unhappy fact: On October 1st, Netflix will be taking away some truly beloved titles from its services. Say it ain’t so, Netflix!

Just 30 days before Halloween, A Nightmare on Elm Street will be taken from us. Seems a little cruel, but I guess at least Freddie Krueger won’t be haunting our dreams as much for some time. Other spooky movies that you should fit in ASAP to get your Halloween spirit on: The Exorcist and Interview With A Vampire.

Other films to be pulled are Annie Hall, Ella Enchanted, and Romeo + Juliet, so start speed-watching, folks! We’re also saying goodbye to The Big Lebowski (but that rug really tied the room together. . . ), American Masters: Billie Jean King (Seems a bit curious that this comes very shortly after the news about Battle of the Sexes, a project focusing on the infamous tennis match between Billie Jean King and Steve Carell. Coincidence?), and Twilight.

If you want to watch the recent episodes of Saturday Night Live, you better do it now! Season 37, which covers the 2010s, is being taken off the ‘flix. Later in the month, we’re also losing one you should definitely check out if you haven’t already: Chico & Rita, a gorgeous animated romance story set in the jazz scene of the 1940s in Cuba.
