Actress Leah Remini’s docu-series about Scientology looks absolutely gripping and we can’t wait to watch

We can probably all admit that there’s something pretty fascinating about Scientology.

Even if you don’t know much about the religion, Leah Remini’s Scientology series for A&E is sure to peak your interest — because she has INSIDE information being a former Scientologist herself. Curious, much?

Yes, the former King of Queens star quit the religion a few years ago (after being involved since she was 14) along with 10 other celebrities who quit Scientology. In the docu-series she talks to former members of the church in nitty-gritty detail; you know, beyond the whole extraterrestrial abductions and believing in aliens thing, which a lot of people may already know about.

Here’s the scoop: Leah Remini: Scientology and the Aftermath comes in eight parts. As you’ll see in this heartbreakingly honest trailer, no stone is left unturned. We get to know these former members as real people who became tangled in something that was bigger than themselves, and learn why it was so difficult to cut ties.

"I didn't want to find out what I'd done was a lie. [...] Something inside of me was saying, 'get them [my children] out of this thing.'"

Wow, this made our skin crawl, but in a good way. The series premieres on November 29th, and we can’t wait to see how everything unfolds. In the meantime, if you haven’t read Remini’s book Troublemaker about surviving Hollywood and Scientology then now would be a good time to go out and grab it!

Thanks for sharing your story, Leah! We seriously can’t imagine how difficult this must have been.
