Lea Michele’s tribute to “Glee” is making us misty-eyed

Can you believe it’s been seven years since Glee first aired? Neither can Lea Michele, who played Rachel in the series and posted the most adorable #TBT on Instagram yesterday. The show wrapped up in 2015, two years after the death of star Corey Montieth, who was Lea’s romantic interest both on the show and in real life. This photo captures the gang in the early days and her caption sweetly explained a past moment in time:

“Found this photo from our Upfronts trip to NYC just days before the premiere,” Lea wrote. “We were all so excited. We went around the table and each said something we loved about each other.. No matter where we all are now.. I will always think back to this night.”

The gang has gone on to some pretty amazing places. Chris Colfer is now a published author. Darren Criss made his Broadway debut in Hedwig and the Angry Inch. Amber Riley was a part of The Wiz Live! And Lea Michele herself has gone on to rack up some pretty sweet accomplishments, most recently starring in Scream Queens as Hester Ulrich.

For most of the cast, Glee jumpstarted their career. For that, we’re thankful, because we don’t know what we’d do without their crazy talent and charm in our lives!
