Lauren Graham says she may NEVER watch the “Gilmore Girls” revival

Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life is FINALLY on Netflix and it seems like everyone in the world has seen it, right? Wrong! Apparently our beloved Lorelai Gilmore, Lauren Graham, has yet to see the revival and is not sure that she ever will. Sounds crazy, right?

Graham reportedly revealed to TVLine’s Michael Ausiello that she doesn’t like to watch her own performances because she doesn’t think she gets a lot out of watching them. She told him,

"There are many actors who learn a lot by watching themselves. I'm not one of those people, so I stayed away from it.

For Graham, Gilmore Girls is especially close to her heart and is something she is incredibly proud of, which is why she doesn’t want to watch the long-running series. The project is especially close to her heart and for Graham, remembering the experience is more important than re-living it through the small screen. She said,

"I was so on another plane, it felt like, during the doing of the thing, and I had some of my favorite moments I've ever had as an actor and as a person in that experience. I just want to leave it there for now — that was enough. That was more than enough. It was the best experience I've ever had."

She revealed to Ausiello that she even struggled to read the script for “Fall,” since she didn’t want the revival experience to end. She explained,

“I shot a couple scenes without having read the whole thing. I was on this crazy high and feeling so thankful and so pleased with what the material was, I almost didn't want to know how it ended. I was worried where it was going and what if I'm disappointed. But finally I had to do it, 'cause I really had to film it, and I sat at the kitchen table and I cried from page one all the way to the end. It was the biggest emotional experience."

We completely understand what Graham feels for Gilmore Girls. It holds such a special place in the hearts of so many fans that we can’t even imagine what it would be like for Graham. Since she won’t watch the series, she’ll have to take our word for it that the revival is INCREDIBLE.
