Clear your reading list — Lauren Graham has a new book coming out

We may not be getting new seasons of Gilmore Girls (for a while/forever?), but there’s no need to stress-eat your feelings like Lorelai Gilmore, because Lauren Graham has a new book coming out! Mark your calendars now, because your fave Gilmore Girls and Parenthood mom just announced that In Conclusion, Don’t Worry About It will officially go on sale next month.

Move over, spring cleaning, because *spring reading* is totally where it’s at this April!

So, what can we expect this go-around? Lauren Graham’s new book is an easy, short read full of advice for graduates and reflections on staying true to yourself. It’s an expansion of her 2017 commencement speech that she gave at her hometown Langley High, in which she reflects on growing up, pursuing your dreams, and living in the here and now.

You can probably read full passages to yourself and pretend Lorelai or Sarah Braverman is saying those things to you in real life.

It’s just like having the pretend Gilmore Girls/Parenthood mom you always wanted!

"Whatever path you choose, whatever career you decide to go after, the important thing is that you keep finding joy in what you’re doing, especially when the joy isn’t finding you," Graham writes.

Illustrated with drawings from Lauren Graham herself, her third book (she’s already the New York Times bestselling author of memoir Talking as Fast as I Can and novel Someday, Someday, Maybe) is written in her trademark hilarious, relatable voice, as she reminds us to be curious and compassionate, no matter where life takes us or what we’ve yet to achieve.
