Lauren Conrad admits she met her husband when she was 16, and the story is straight out of a rom-com

Whether or not you believe in fate, it’s definitely weird how people come in and out of our lives. Somebody you barely knew in high school could reappear in college and become your best friend. Somebody you met at a bar once could end up being your go-to for gossip at your new job. And often, people end up getting together with somebody they met years ago.

But it all sounds a little crazier when it happens to celebrities, ya know?

Lauren Conrad admitted on a blog entry entitled “25 Things You Didn’t Know About Me” that she actually met current husband, former guitarist and vocalist of Something Corporate William Tell when she was sixteen.

Conrad writes, “I met my husband when I was 16 and sitting onstage at one of his concerts. Ten years later we were set up on a blind date.”

According to Refinery 29, Tell was in law school at USC when he was set up on a blind date with Conrad. Refinery 29 pointed out that Lauren Conrad went to Tell’s concert around 2002, two years before Laguna Beach aired, meaning that ten years later when they were set up, she was out there in Hollywood kicking ass in her own right.

So, readers, next time your friends tell you to give up your crush on the cutest member of your favorite band… maybe you’re right not to listen…
