Lauren Conrad reveals that pregnancy taught her “you can’t plan everything”
It’s been over a decade since our beloved reality show The Hills premiered on MTV and our fave style guru, Lauren Conrad, learned real lessons about life and love in the big city. By now, we’ve all pretty much reconciled with the fact that the show was mostly contrived by the show’s producers. After all, there was some glaringly good stuff there, especially ones about why you should always choose Paris. Still, in her latest interview on motherhood with Fit Pregnancy and Baby, LC dropped some major truth bombs about why following a script doesn’t necessarily have a place in pregnancy.
Lauren Conrad explained that while she’d always wanted to be a mom, it was always about waiting for the right timing.
“I always thought, ‘Someday, I’ll have a family.’ But it wasn’t until I was married that it was a real conversation. I think your 20s are about figuring out who you are and finding a career,” says Conrad. “When you’re a mother, you’re no longer your own top priority, and that idea was a little scary to me. But we’re ready for a baby now.”
Apparently, the life lessons keep on rolling. Even after The Hills.
“I tried to plan my pregnancy down to the month,” Lauren admitted. “My first lesson about motherhood was that you can’t plan everything.”
Well, there you have it! It’s all about living your life with arms wide open.
