Lauren Conrad and William Tell’s baby’s name is so classic, but what does it mean?

We’re so over the moon for Lauren Conrad and her husband William Tell. The couple announced the birth of their firstborn son yesterday, and we’re sending them all our congratulations.

One thing people will be wondering, of course, is what the new parents will have named their bundle of joy. Since announcing her pregnancy in January, Conrad has been teasing us with potential baby names by sharing some of her favorite ones on her lifestyle site.

However, with the announcement that they’ve now welcomed their own son into the world, it seems that LC and her partner have opted for something a little more classic.

Sharing the happy news on Instagram, Lauren also updated her blog, writing:

"William and I are thrilled to share that on Wednesday, July 5th we welcomed Liam James Tell into the world. He is 6 pounds, 14 ounces and 20 inches long. I'll be taking a little bit of a step back from the site over the next few weeks as we adjust to life as a family of three (five, if you count Chloe and Fitz of course…)."

Okay, so we’re totally loving Lauren Conrad and William Tell’s son’s classic name: Liam James Tell.

In fact, it seems that their baby’s name is a family affair.

According to a report by E! News, a source has revealed that baby Liam’s first name is a shortened version of his father’s moniker, William. Indeed, according to the website behindthename.com, Liam is in fact the Irish short form for William, and is one of the most popular names for boys in the United States at the moment.

What’s more, James is the name of LC’s father, which is just the most adorable thing ever. Liam is named after his daddy and his grandaddy! SO. CUTE.

We want to extend our warmest congratulations to Lauren and William, and we hope that baby Liam is doing well. We think that Liam James Tell is an adorable name, and we can’t wait to see some snaps of the baby soon!
