What this new “Gilmore Girls” cast addition might mean for Rory
As expected, the news surrounding the Gilmore Girls revival just keeps getting better and better. In addition to many of our favorite characters returning, we can also expect to see some new faces in the world of Gilmore Girls: A Year in The Life. One such face just so happens to belong to English actress Alex Kingston, who’s starred on ER, Doctor Who, and Arrow.
While she was at Supercon, Alex made the big announcement. “I also got to play a role in the reboot of the Gilmore Girls,” the actress gushed. “I play a very eccentric character in a couple of those episodes.” false
Okay, now let’s overanalyze everything Alex said. Not only is she starring in the reboot, but she’s also being featured in a couple of the episodes. Since there are only four, does this mean that Kingston’s character plays a major role in the revival?
And it gets better… “We actually didn’t film it on the Warner Bros. lot, my scenes,” Alex revealed, adding that she got to work with Alexis Bledel (aka, Rory Gilmore). “We were on location, which was nice and that’s all I’m going to say.”
Since Stars Hollow is on the Warner Bros. lot, does this mean that Alex’s character is not a resident of the small town? Bustle pointed out that Kingston tends to work in London, so does this mean that Rory is a Londoner now? If you remember correctly, Logan travelled to London to begin working and following in his father’s footsteps. Maybe he’s now living there and maybe this means that Logan and Rory are back together. (If so, then this is some HUGE news!) false
Nonetheless, no matter what happens, we cannot wait to see what Alex Kingston brings to the table (hopefully, it’s Poptarts).
