You won’t believe who actually says this iconic “Star Wars” line in “Last Jedi”

If there’s one thing we know for certain with every single Star Wars movie, it’s that someone will have a bad feeling about this. Not about the movie — rather, an event transpiring in the film. The line goes all the way back to the first flick, A New Hope, and even made a quick appearance in the first stand-alone Star Wars film, Rogue One (though K2-SO was cut off before he could finish). So when does “bad feeling” happen in Last Jedi?

Those of you who have seen The Last Jedi – and, from the box office numbers, I’m assuming that’s all of you — might have left the theater wondering when exactly this line happens…because you don’t hear it. But I swear it’s in there. Director Rian Johnson put it in there, because he knows what we want. And we want someone to have a bad feeling about this.

So who says the iconic line that you 100% missed, since it was said via beeps? BB-8, obviously.

Talking to The Huffington Post, Johnson explained that he let everyone’s favorite little orange droid deliver the quote. It happens at the very beginning of the movie, when BB-8 and flyboy Poe Dameron are going after the First Order ship. Remember when Poe mutters, “Happy beeps?” Yeah, he’s telling BB-8 not to have a bad feeling about this mission.

“[BB-8] seemed like a fun character to deliver that line, he told HuffPost. “I think originally I had Poe respond, ‘Oh, I got a good feeling about it. Keep your chin up.’ And then I made it a little less explicit just to make it more fun.

This is almost as good as Rey going “Yeah, say that,” to Chewbacca when the walking carpet suggests something incoherent as a message to pass along to Finn. Almost as good.
