Lane Kim and Mrs. Kim are the most supportive BFFs in real life
Watch out, Rory and Lorelei — you two might have competition for cutest mother and daughter on Gilmore Girls!
While Lane Kim and Mrs. Kim did not frequently see eye-to-eye, it seems that in real life, Keiko Agena, the actress who plays Lane, and Emily Kuroda, the actress who plays Mrs. Kim, actually get along really well. Doesn’t that just warm your heart?
While we admittedly spend most of our waking hours thinking about the Gilmore Girls revival and what will play out in the mini series, we got a surprise glimpse into the lives of the Kims on Sunday night, when Keiko Instagrammed the following photo:
The photo of the TV mother and daughter smiling from ear-to-ear is the stuff fangirl dreams are made of.
But what brought the Kims together before the on-screen revival? Keiko’s caption explains that she was at Los Angeles’s iO West Theater to watch Emily perform with The Golden Hour, an improv troupe. Did you ever imagine that Mrs. Kim was not only hilarious, but also a talented improv comedian? We have all the happy feels right now.
Of course, you’re probably wondering…how does this fit into the Netflix revival? According to some sleuthing done by Bustle on IMDB, Mrs. Kim is credited in at least one episode alongside Lane, so it’s probably safe to say that we’ll get to witness an on-screen mother-daughter moment, too.
Isn’t it just lovely when life gives you closure?
