Lance Bass just trolled Donald Trump on Twitter and gave us so many extra lives

It was the day after Thanksgiving and while most of America was nursing their turkey hangovers and spending time with family, Donald Trump was sending out bizarre tweets about accolades he didn’t win. In a now-viral tweet, Trump explained how he was “probably” going to be named Time‘s Person of the Year but turned it down. Like most of the President’s tweets, this one with met with swift, internet savagery, which included the best roast ever by Mr. Lance Bass.

“Time Magazine called to say that I was PROBABLY going to be named ‘Man (Person) of the Year,‘ like last year,” the President tweeted, “but I would have to agree to an interview and a major photo shoot. I said probably is no good and took a pass. Thanks anyway!”

Time immediately shut it down saying there is “not a speck of truth” to the President’s statement. Despite the embarrassment of having to watch our country’s president lie about trivial things for no reason, at least we have funny internet reactions, and Bass’s response takes the cake.

“Tiger Beat called and said I was probably going to be Boybander of the year but it was going to take a long photo shoot and interview. Unfortunately, i have a long awaited appointment to frost my tips on the day of the interview so i turned it down! No thanks Tiger Beat!!!”

Surprisingly, Trump has not responded to Bass, but Tiger Beat did.

“We love you Lance, frosted tips or not. Call us when you’re available,” wrote the iconic ’90s publication.

The rest of the internet had some pretty good roasts too.

As 2017 continues to be a nightmare, at least we have jokes.
