Lake Bell announced her pregnancy in the most casual way possible and we love it
Some celebs announce their pregnancy in the craziest ways, but when Lake Bell decided to share her pregnancy news, she kept it totally low-key.
Unlike Rob Kardashian and Blac Chyna’s emoji pregnancy anouncement or Olivia Wilde and Jason Sudeikis’s adorable Instagram post, Lake decided to go a more casual route with her announcement.
Actually, she didn’t make any announcement at all. She just showed up to an event and flaunted her baby bump in a super chic LBD.
That’s right: no cutesy tweet, no tiny baby shoes on display, just a totally straight-forward strut down the red carpet with her pregnancy belly on display.

According to E! News, it was at the AG + Vanity Fair Opening of Saved in Los Angeles that Lake Bell revealed she’s pregnant with her second child. She and husband Scott Campbell, already parents to a two-year-old daughter, walked the event together.
The Secret Life of Pets star has always been on the tight-lipped side about her private life. In fact, before she had her first daughter, she debuted her pregnancy in much the same way. After she gave birth, her team made an announcement but didn’t share many details — including her daughter’s name — until later on. So this second pregnancy not-an-announcement is pretty par for the course.
But that’s not to say that Lake hasn’t been open about sharing her experiences.
Last year, Bell talked to E! about her post-baby-body and being a new mom.
"I'm so relaxed right now because I don't have time to be excitable," Lake shared. "It puts everything in perspective in a really beautiful way."
She explored that same subject — having the time — in a short film she made with MORE magazine.

Lake also showed off her adorable kid-skills in this video with Kid President. In true mom fashion, she talked him throwing one of the scariest things growing boys can face: calling up a girl.
