Lady Gaga uses her grandma’s Christmas money at Starbucks and we’ve never related to her more

If there’s one thing that Lady Gaga is, it’s relatable. Remember when she wore the that meat dress and we were like, omg I have the same one? It’s OK if that wasn’t you, we weren’t exactly looking it up on eBay either. In real life, Gaga is a superstar whose daily life entails rehearsing for the Super Bowl halftime show and performing at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show (yes, she is one among angels). The closest we usually get to “being Gaga” is by singing power ballads from her latest album, Joanne, by ourselves. But this weekend, Lady Gaga bought Starbucks with her grandma’s Christmas money (a crisp $20) and we can finally feel her.

Let’s break this down.

First of all, Lady Gaga goes to Starbucks. Now we know! Honestly we’re a little surprised she even needs caffeine because we assumed she had some special energizing chemical in her body that allowed her to be the superhuman that she is. But no, she goes to Starbucks (sans makeup) and for a red velvet cake Frappucino fix, too.

In the picture, Gaga is holding up the $20 in one hand and the adorable card from her Grandma in the other. She clearly wanted to show Grandma that her gift was being used for an important cause: caffeination.

Remember when your parents used to make you take a picture with the gift from your grandma and your smiling face to show her your appreciation? That’s basically what Gaga did. But she showed the whole world while she was at it.

More importantly, though, is her caption, which reads:

Gettin ☕️ with grandma's 20. Thanks Grandma I love you! 😘

We already know that Lady Gaga and her grandma have a special relationship, but now we also know that her grandma also wants to “give her a little something.”

The fact that Lady Gaga’s grandma still sends her twenties in greeting cards (whose grandma doesn’t?) even after Gaga has all the fortune she could ask for shows us just how she stays grounded.
