Lady Gaga just got real about what it’s *actually* like to be in a relationship
Yesterday we sadly reported that after five years together, Lady Gaga and Taylor Kinney both decided to end their relationship. As confirmed by People, the pair decided to call it quits at the end of last month.
Up until now, the pair had remained quiet, refusing to speculate on the reason for the split. However, Gaga has now taken to Instagram to address any rumors and to explain the situation.
“Taylor and I have always believed we are soulmates. Just like all couples we have ups and downs, and we have been taking a break,” she wrote on Instagram. “We are both ambitious artists, hoping to work through long-distance and complicated schedules to continue the simple love we have always shared.”
Continuing, she said, “Please root us on. We’re just like everybody else and we really love each other.”
This is just too real and too sad isn’t it? We’re pretty sure most people can relate to this. Sometimes the timing just isn’t right ?.
To distract herself from what’s obviously a really difficult time, Gaga visited some foster children in Mexico and performed a stripped down version of her hit “Born This Way.” Watch the emotional rendition below.
