It’s summer, so strip away your inhibition along with your clothing and slip into something more comfortable. Whether you’re at the beach, hanging out in your backyard, or simply driving with the windows down, summer is the season for comfort. And comfort means different things to different people, which is why we must keep in mind that there are many types of bodies and methods of self-expression.
Another thing to remember? Body hair is okay, too! Which is why we love that Lady Gaga just posted a selfie without shaving her armpits. Body hair is totally natural, and you can still be a queen like Gaga even if you don’t shave.
Lady Gaga shared a selfie with her long, blonde hair half up, smiling with her strawberry-colored lips. According to her hashtags, she’s rehearsing for her Joanne world tour. Oh, and in the selfie, you can see some armpit hair.
It’s becoming more common to see women grow out their armpit hair in support of changing our narrative about gender and sexuality. Though it may not be for everyone, everyone’s invited to participate. And yes, that means you can still engage even if you haven’t shaved for a few days and only have stubble.

Even though Lady Gaga may not be growing out her armpit hair much longer than how we see it — she has in the past — posting a photo of it is still an act of defiance. Hair or no hair, the only person who has to be happy with your decisions is you.
