Lady Gaga shared a pic of Taylor Kinney hanging with her mom, and it’s hitting us in the feels
People tend to think all breakups are marked by a bitter back-and-forth between former romantic partners, which is why it’s totally refreshing to see Lady Gaga sharing a pic of Taylor Kinney hanging with her mom, Cynthia Germanotta. US Weekly reports that on Monday, the “Perfect Illusion” singer Instagrammed a photo of the pair showing support for her Born This Way charity.
While the Monsters are probably dying to know if this means the former couple are an item again (we kind of are too), it probably won’t make much difference to Gaga, who doesn’t consider Kinney an ex. She once referred to herself and the Chicago Fire star as a couple of hippies who aren’t necessarily into labeling their relationship.
We can dig it, Gaga. Not only do we love seeing your mom and your old bae get together for your charity, but it’s undeniable evidence that you should pen a book on how to make a breakup less terrible:
“At 30 Rockefeller center my charity the @btwfoundation also offers a place to send kind letters to people,” Gaga captioned the photo. “@taylorkinney111 and my mom sent letters filled with kind words to soldiers fighting overseas. #ShareKindness.”
In the wake of their split, Gaga urged fans to look past the surface and simply see her and Kinney as two normal people trying to find the best way to balance career and their personal lives.
“We are both ambitious artists, hoping to work through long-distance and complicated schedules to continue the simple love we have always shared,” Gaga said. “Please root us on. We’re just like everybody else and we really love each other.”
SIGHS. Way to hit us right in the feels, Gaga. We are definitely rooting for the pop star and Kinney to continue doing what’s best for their relationship, whether he puts a ring on it (again) or they simply choose to remain close friends.
