Lady Gaga just performed “Perfect Illusion” live for the first time and we cannot handle our excitement
Well happy Saturday to us, because Lady Gaga just performed “Perfect Illusion” live for the first time ever, and it’s legit incredible.
Wearing nothing but a cut off shirt and cut off shorts (and looking ???), Gaga rocked out hard to the first single off her upcoming fifth solo album.
“Perfect Illusion” was co-written by Gaga, Mark Ronson, Tame Impala’s Kevin Parker and BloodPop. BloodPop happens to be responsible for Justin Bieber’s “Sorry”, FYI.
The song is about the “perfect illusion” social media users create for themselves and Gaga’s desire for people to get real with themselves in order to re-establish a more human connection.
The performance took place at The Moth in Los Angeles on Friday, and now all of LA is wishing they would have been there.
Because Gaga is still fierce AF.
It’s refreshing to see her channel her inner (and outer) rock/pop goddess self after presenting a pretty grown up version of herself to the public since the release of her jazz album Cheek To Cheek with Tony Bennett.
Check out the killer performance. Gaga is back, y’all! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2bZIremnuh0
