Lady Gaga dropped news about her next single “Stupid Love,” and everyone is ready for LG6

Now that the A Star Is Born buzz has finally died down (though…will it ever completely?), Lady Gaga has announced that she’s back in the studio and gearing up to release her sixth studio album. And to give us a taste of what’s to come, Gaga will release her first new single, “Stupid Love,” this Friday, February 28th, at midnight.

Mother Monster is back and about to school her Little Monsters on how stupid love can be—needless to say, we can’t wait.

She attached a photograph of a billboard currently plastered in Hollywood. It looks like Prince meets the Spice Girls circa 1995 with a bit of Art Pop flair. And are those juicy lips painted with Haus Labs Le Monster lip crayon?

For some, the announcement of the single release came as a welcome shock. However, for those who have been tuned into the goings-on of Gaga, it was a relief that the artist didn’t trash the single altogether.

In January, “Stupid Love” was leaked on Twitter and went viral before Gaga’s people caught wind of it and deleted tweets containing the leaked track.

According to Variety, Little Monsters like what they heard in the leak. “Stupid Love” is a little bit disco, and a lotta bit Born This Way—which is kind of the 2020 mood, in our opinion. Now that the track is complete, we can only imagine it’s even better than before.
