Kylie’s new lipstick color was taken down from Instagram — and here’s why

Kylie Jenner Lip Kits are SO hot, fans are dying for a sneak peek of whatever new product is released next. When images of a limited-edition Lip Kit began circulating on Instagram, Kylie’s legal peeps immediately got on the case, contacting Instagram accounts to remove the photos, as they were leaked without approval.

The product in question was a dark red matte lip color with gold packaging that read “Birthday Edition.” According to Cosmopolitan, the lipstick is allegedly called “Leo,” as a reference to Kylie’s astrological sign. The Lip Snitches, one of the many Insta accounts dedicated to Kylie Cosmetics updates, recently posted the message she received from Kylie’s legal team.

The message states that the images posted were stolen without Kylie’s permission and that they are “subject to a strict Non-Disclosure Agreement which absolutely prohibits the disclosure or posting of any of this information and/or these images.” The rep then demanded that the images be immediately taken down.

“As the first person to post it, I feel greatly responsible for all the accounts that have been penalized for the picture & for the other repercussions some people have had to face,” The Lip Snitches wrote in the caption. “Just wanted to apologize to everyone & Kylie Cosmetics! Lesson learned, in the future I’ll be making sure I check sources, facts, & trademarks more in depth!”

Fans will have to wait patiently for the new lip color, which should be out sometime within the month anyway, since Kylie’s birthday is coming up in August. The beauty mogul herself confirmed a new matte lipstick release was on its way. false

In the meantime, Lip Kit fans can pick up Kylie’s four new glosses, inspired by her original matte shades, on July 15th.
