Kylie Jenner’s response to her slut-shamer makes us want to give her a high-five

If there’s anything Kylie Jenner is known for – aside from her constantly-in-demand Kylie Cosmetics line, her ever-changing hair, and her reality-TV-royalty family – it’s how she lets comments, rumors, and criticism about her appearance roll off her back, rarely deigning to even acknowledge them. On the flip side, some celebs (particularly the ones most active on social media) prefer to address criticism head-on. Our beloved Twitter guru Chrissy Teigen, for one, is arguably the single best famous person when it comes to 140-character hot-takes and calling people out on their BS.

Kylie is, unfortunately, all too familiar with attacks on her appearance, though she rarely responds – and it’s not just Kylie who has this issue. Many fans and haters alike have a tendency to forget that celebrities are real, actual human beings. So when they rattle off some harsh words and send them out into the online sphere, it can be a little bit shocking to them that the celebs actually take note – and in some instances, even respond.

On Monday, a Twitter user tweeted this incredibly rude, juvenile, and downright sexist comparison of Kylie’s appearance to that of a 14-year-old prostitute.

Ew. A textbook example of slut-shaming and of a sexist person who thinks they have the right to comment on and police how a woman chooses to dress. And I’m a little bit ugh about those numbers of likes and retweets, not gonna lie.

Within a few hours, Kylie had spotted the Tweet and responded.

Kylie’s come-back? That she thinks she looks like a 19-year-old prostitute – not a 14-year-old one. Girl’s got jokes! Guess she was in a feisty mood when that remark crossed her dashboard.

Of course, this was a horrible thing for this apparently-male Twitter user to tweet directly at Kylie. We can’t help but love the way she responded – not even bothering to argue with the hater or insult him back, but instead turning the whole thing into a joke about what age she looked.

Kylie’s clap-back tweet blew up quickly, going viral with over 91,000 retweets and over 210,000 likes at last count. The littlest Jenner’s fans also jumped in to support her and to point out that she “ended” the hater.

While it sucks that Kylie has to deal with gross comments like these on a regular basis, it’s great to see that she’s keeping her sense of humor about it and not letting the degrading remarks bother her. You go, Kylie!
