Kylie Jenner opened up about her stretch marks in a super honest Q&A video
As we all know now, 2018 is the year of the Kardashian-Jenner baby boom. Kim Kardashian welcomed baby Chicago in January and Khloé Kardashian welcomed her daughter True on April 12th. But without a doubt, the biggest fanfare happened when Kylie Jenner introduced us to Stormi Webster, her child with Travis Scott, in February.
Kylie is the same person she always was, but now she’s a mom. Though it may seem like she’s a little more private than usual, on Friday, July 6th, she and her best friend Jordyn Woods took to YouTube to answer a bunch of fan questions. And honestly, it was just like watching an episode of her E! reality show Life of Kylie. The video covers everything from how they met to what they eat and when they work out. While on the subject of their bodies, Jenner took a moment to be super honest about her post-baby shape.
Since giving birth to Stormi in February, many have commented that Jenner returned to her pre-baby figure incredibly fast. And while there’s no denying that Kylie does look back to her “normal” self, hearing her talk about the reactions is eye-opening. Her Q&A video is a great reminder that it’s not fair to assume you know what’s going on with someone else’s body.
"After Stormi, I feel like people think that I bounced back super fast. Which I guess I did, and that I'm just, 'Oh, everything is so perfect.' People can get the wrong idea on Instagram sometimes. Especially at such a young age, to see your body go through such a change. And it is physically, mentally, and emotionally a challenge."
Jenner does realize that she had Stormi at a young age — 20 — so “bouncing back” was easier for her than others. But she also points out that despite what you see on social media, she’s still experiencing the changes all new mamas do. Like having stretch marks where she didn’t have them before.
"My boobs are definitely three times the size, which bothers me. I have stretch marks on my boobs. My stomach isn't the same, my waist isn't the same, my butt's bigger, my thighs are bigger. It's just a change. Honestly, I'm finding that I have to change my style a little, because nothing in my closet fits me from before."
But in the end, she still wouldn’t change a thing.
"It was such a great pregnancy and birth. I'm so happy, and I would have done the same thing over again."
