Kylie Jenner singing “Hollaback Girl” on stage with Gwen Stefani will make you so nostalgic for 2005
When it comes to the Kardashian-Jenner family, it seems like everyone is either solidly in the “love them” or “hate them” camp. We like what we like, and some of us like the famous family very much. If you’re well-versed in the KarJenner world, you probably know the iconic line, “not bad for a girl with no talent.” Kim Kardashian famously tweeted the line when she reached number one on the Forbes mobile moguls list. Naturally, Kardashian’s sisters often get the same callous hate thrown their way, Kylie Jenner in particular.
Whether you believe it or not, you must admit the KarJenner sisters seem to have some talent. From Kylie Cosmetics and its famous lip kits to KIMOJI and all of its merch, these sisters know how to create successful businesses. And most importantly, momager Kris Jenner has their back. If you accuse her daughters of not having talent, she will defend them to the death. And she might even use a meme to do it.
On Saturday, July 7th, Mama Kris took to Instagram to share a hilarious throwback video of Kylie Jenner on stage at a Gwen Stefani concert, singing her heart out to “Hollaback Girl,” E! News reports.
We could watch this adorable throwback all day. In the video, which was shot in 2005, Kylie is around eight years old. As she sits on a man’s shoulders, Stefani holds the mic up to baby Jenner, who sings (okay, shouts) the lyric, “I ain’t no hollaback girl!”
Kylie previously posted the video on her app, letting the world know it was her first concert ever.
"My first concert ever was Gwen Stefani in 2005! During the ‘B-A-N-A-N-A-S' part of ‘Hollaback Girl,' she brought a bunch of girls onstage to sing with her. One of her backup dancers put me on his shoulders and then Gwen put the mic in front of me to sing. I was so little! But it was cool because I ended up going on Gwen's concert DVD, Harajuku Lovers Live," Kylie wrote, according to E! News.
Mama Jenner’s post is extra hilarious because she’s citing a meme to defend her daughter. Watch the incredible moment below, and try not to get TOO nostalgic for Kylie circa 2005.
Turns out Kylie Jenner was always meant to be a star.
She ain’t no hollaback girl.
