Kylie Jenner just shared the super relatable and honest reason she rarely talks on Snapchat
Kylie Jenner leads a life unlike most 18-year-olds, but that doesn’t mean she doesn’t experience the same anxiety and self-consciousness that people her age, many of whom are newly independent, experience right out of high school.
In a post shared yesterday on her extremely popular Snapchat account (in fact, all of her social media accounts are super popular), the young celebrity took a moment to be vulnerable with her fans by admitting, well that she’s afraid to be speak up and be vulnerable when she posts short videos to the platform.
“The reason why I don’t really talk on Snapchat that much or show my personality a lot is because when I do, you get vulnerable and people make fun of you,” Jenner said in a Snapchat conversation with her sister, Khloe. “Kylie Jenner is who you see on Instagram, but I am not Kylie Jenner. I don’t know who Kylie Jenner is.”
Jenner is totally right to be cautious when it comes to exposing her innermost self on social media, especially since trolls love to target vulnerable women with their vitriol. What’s more, it can’t be easy to figure out who you are when the whole world has been watching your every move since you were in elementary school.
Overall, it’s been a tough few weeks for Jenner, who reportedly ended things with her on-again-off-again boyfriend of two years, Tyga, around the same time that his ex-fiancée and Jenner’s soon-to-be sister-in-law, Blac Chyna, announced that she’s pregnant. That’s more drama than anyone, regardless of their age, needs. Keep your chin up, girl.
