Kylie Jenner Says Her Getting Plastic Surgery Is a “Big Misconception”
Her advice to Stormi: “She’s perfect the way that she is.”
Kylie Jenner may be one of our generation’s youngest-ever billionaires, but according to the reality tv star, she hasn’t dove into extensive plastic surgery like her sisters allegedly did. According to an interview in the latest HommeGirls, Jenner claims her face is mostly natural — but some on social media claim otherwise.
“I think a big misconception about me is that I’ve had so much surgery on my face,” the owner of Kylie Cosmetics stated to writer Nicolaia Rips.
Jenner explained how many people think she’s an “insecure person” but the opposite is true. “Growing up I was always the most confident person in the room,” she says. “I was the girl performing for everyone.”
She hopes to instill that confidence in her daughter as well. When asked what advice she’d give to 5-year-old Stormi, she replied, “She’s perfect the way that she is.”
While coming of age on a reality TV show may have helped boost her self-esteem, Jenner claims she had one tiny insecurity — her lips.

“I love full lips and wanted full lips, but… I had my one lip insecurity thing,” she stated to HommeGirls. “So I got lip filler, and it was the best thing I’ve ever done.”
The rest of the interview detailed how the beauty entrepreneur built her makeup empire and the most rebellious thing she did as a teenager (“steal” her mom’s car).
Some took to social media, however, to express their confusion over Jenner’s claims that she’s had minimal, if any, plastic surgery on her face.

Many chose to compare the reality tv star to her younger self, with side-by-side images to help point out the differences. They were also quick to point out that, while she denied any cosmetic changes on her face outside of fillers, she hadn’t disclosed possible surgeries on the rest of her body.
“I don’t judge people who get plastic surgery but this is an entirely different human,” tweeted LaraLibreUSA. “The face and the body is not hers.”
Jenner has been somewhat transparent when it comes to her facial fillers journey. In 2018, she admitted she “got rid” of all her fillers when a fan noticed she looked like “the old Kylie” in a now deleted Instagram post.
In 2019, however, it seems she became a filler fan once more. In an interview with Paper magazine, Jenner admitted she was terrified of going “under the knife” and that critics didn’t understand “what good hair and makeup… can really do.”
She also emphasized that cosmetics wouldn’t help others achieve the Kylie look alone. “It’s fillers,” she added. “I’m not denying that.”
Lip fillers are the most apparent facial enhancement Jenner has owned up to, and she may be telling the truth about not getting “so much” plastic surgery, as well. Fillers can also be used to reconstruct many parts of the face, including the jaw line, nose bridge, and cheekbones.
Whatever her approach to body modifications, she has been inordinately successful as a beauty entrepreneur in the social-media age. When asked how she’s achieved so much success at a young age, the 25-year-old mogul simply replied, “I feel like I’m really good at everything that I put my mind to.”
