Kylie Jenner just launched an Instagram anti-bullying campaign

You might not think about Kylie Jenner as a staunch advocate against bullying. But you certainly know that she, like her sisters, is an Instagram star. And now Jenner is harnessing her social media prowess to a cause close to her by launching Instagram anti-bullying campaign, #IAmMoreThan.

Kylie has take to Instagram to use her 34 million followers to promote a campaign that encourages victims of bullying to turn that negative attention around and focus it on something good. She wrote on her Instagram page, “For the next six days, I will be sharing stories of 6 incredible people who have become heroes in their own way by taking #bullying and turning it into something positive.”

Renee DuShane is the first of six to be featured in the #IAmMoreThan campaign. She suffers from a rare genetic disorder called Pfiffer Syndrome, yet she says she didn’t really feel bullied by the kids in her high school, but started to fear meeting new people in college. Renee took to Tumblr to look for positive people to follow, and she tried not to let herself get distracted by the negative comments.

Back in April, Kylie released a series of Snapchats saying “I’ve been bullied since I’ve been nine. From the whole world, it feels like sometimes… and I think that I’ve done a really great job in handling all this.” Kylie says of Renee, “Renee taught ME that #IAmMoreThan the negative comments that I read.”

She is determined not to let the haters get her down or make her feel less-than, and now she’s encouraging her followers to do the same. Kylie wants to “encourage you, my fans, to share something positive about yourselves. I’ll be reading as much as I can so that some of you can be apart of this as well!”
