Wow, Kylie Jenner donated half a million dollars to charity from lip kit proceeds
Prepare yourself for a feel-good story! Reality star, Kylie Jenner donated half a million dollars to Smile Train thanks to her lip kits and it’s so awesome.
We all know that Jenner’s lip kits are sassy, chic and HUGE hits with her fans, but now we know they are actually helping others. No we’re not talking about helping people feel pretty — although it does do that as well — but a lot of the brand’s proceeds are helping charity.
In fact, the Keeping Up With the Kardashian star’s makeup line created a special-edition lip kit to specifically raise funds for Smile Train charity.
The collaboration with Smile Train — an organization that supports free cleft palate surgery for children around the world — had a limited two-time run and earned nearly $500,000 for the charity, People reported.
That is a LOT of money!
The publication also revealed that Jenner donated 100 percent of the proceeds she made from the “Smile” shade (a pale pink matte lipstick) to the organization.
This special shade was launched on World Smile Day back in October and was sold out in a matter of seconds. Once the 19-year-old CEO received the money from the sales, she delivered a check for $159,500 to the charity.

"It's the perfect synergy because Smile Train's core vision is to help children with clefts not only receive new smiles, but also build confidence," CEO of Smile Train, Susannah Schaefer told People about the collaboration. "There’s nothing more powerful than a smile."
Jenner relaunched the shade in January in hopes to raise even more money for the organization and it was again a major success.
The company raised $300,000 for Smile Train, which will help fund (with her original donation) about 1,800 surgeries.
Talk about making a difference!
