Kylie Jenner revealed how much her cosmetic brand makes, and you’ll need to sit down for this

This is an unqualified opinion to make, but Kylie Jenner has got to be the most successful Kardashian/Jenner.

Kylie Jenner and her mom Kris sat down with Women’s Wear Daily where they revealed just how successful Kylie Cosmetics is. Hint: REALLY DAMN SUCCESSFUL.

Jenner revealed that in just a year and a half of business, the company has made $420 million in retail sales. The company is poised to be a billion dollar company by 2022, just a short five years away. According to WWD, Tom Ford Beauty reached $500 million in 10 years, Bobbi Brown reached a billion in sales after 25 years, and Lancôme took 80 years to reach the milestone.

Jenner will hit the same mark in under seven years all thanks to LIP KITS!

Jenner wants to expand past eyeshadows and lip color and says concealer is next on the list. “I want to step into that world, which is challenging. It’s going to be hard to buy concealer online. That’s why I kept pushing it back…[But] I’m up for it.”

It is hard to color-match foundation and concealer online, however, Jenner is aiming for brick and mortar stores.

“I do want stores, my own stores,” Jenner revealed in the interview, “I don’t know how we’re going to do it. I think it’s time people walk into a store and see Kylie Cosmetics. I do want that but we haven’t figured out exactly how we’re going to do that and what approach we’re going to take.”

It’s kind of the elephant in the room that her brand and Kim Kardashian’s makeup brands are in competition with each other. Jenner recognizes this and says, “We also have a little bit of different demographics. She’s like almost 20 years older than me. I feel like my makeup is definitely more young, fun. And it’s just different.”

Imagine being a beauty mogul and not even 20 years old yet.
