The first photo of Kristen Wiig in Wonder Woman 1984 is here, and we have ZERO chill
This is not a drill: Patty Jenkins just shared the first photo of Kristen Wiig as Barbara Minerva in the upcoming Wonder Woman 1984 film, and all the OMGs are in order. In the Twitter post, the Wonder Woman director simply captioned the teaser: “Enter Barbara Minerva…” Wiig is seen standing in a room of what appears to be stuffed and posed animals, a probable reference to her archaeological background in the comics.
Wiig will star opposite Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman’s arch nemesis Barbara Minerva, also known as Cheetah. In the DC comics, Minerva is a British archaeologist who possesses superhuman speed, agility, and strength once in her cheetah form.

News of Wiig’s casting in the Wonder Woman sequel broke in March of this year, and the reception was fairly positive because, well, duh. According to Deadline, the Saturday Night Live alum reportedly had to drop out of an Apple comedy series due to scheduling conflicts.
Twitter users couldn’t contain their excitements over the photo.
