Kristen Stewart just dropped some major wisdom re: what make relationships REALLY work
Take it from Kristen Stewart: Relationship are hard, hard work. But after an extremely public breakup with her Twilight co-star and ex-boyfriend, Robert Pattinson, it looks like the 25-year-old actress has gained a whole lot of wisdom and found some peace.
Speaking with The Hollywood Reporter, the actress admitted that it was difficult to start work on her newest film, Equals, a sci-fi that finds her romantically entangled with up-and-coming actor Nicholas Hoult of X-Men: First Class and Mad Max: Fury Road fame.
“One of the reasons I was so intimidated by this movie is because I was like, ‘This is gonna hurt. I don’t want to think about all that,’” Stewart told the magazine. “It’s good, it’s cathartic, it’s worth it. Obviously, Nick (Hoult) and I are 25. We’re still very close to our first loves. It’s definitely something that we both know so well.”
She’s probably referring to Hoult’s relationship with ex-girlfriend Jennifer Lawrence, which began when the pair filmed X-Men together in 2011 and ended last August.
She continued, “It was a painful movie to make in every way. It was exuberant, cathartic and at the same time almost too self-reflective. We would go home and be like, ‘We seriously need a drink. Let’s just stop thinking about everything. Let’s not talk. Let’s just take a walk.”
But as Stewart points out, there is a light on the other side of the tunnel. Here’s her extremely philosophical take on it:
