The trailer for Kristen Stewart’s new film is here and it looks emotional, intense, and powerful
The trailer for Kristen Stewart‘s new film, Certain Women, has been revealed and it looks like a beautiful and introspective meditation on the experiences of women in America.
The film, which was directed by Kelly Reichardt (Meek’s Cutoff, Wendy and Lucy), stars Michelle Williams, Kristen Stewart (obvs), and Laura Dern (Jurassic Park, The Fault in Our Stars, Blue Velvet), and charters the intersecting lives of three women living in Montana.
Adapted from Maile Meloy’s collection of short stories, Both Ways Is the Only Way I Want It, the film sees Dern play a lawyer attempting to diffuse a hostage situation with a disgruntled client, Williams as woman dealing with marital problems as she attempts to buy a a stockpile of sandstone, and Stewart as young lawyer teaching an adult education class who catches the attention of a young ranch hand, played by Lily Gladstone.

The film looks like a delicate and emotional exploration into the lives of these three women, and is sure to be a bit of a weepy one.
Following its premiere at Sundance this year, Certain Women was met with almost unanimous praise, with one reviewer for The Guardian calling the performances in the film “understated across the board, but deeply felt,” and praising Stewart’s performance as “impressive.”
Certain Women is due for release on October 16, and is sure to be an essential and intense autumn viewing.
