If you’ve ever felt overwhelmed by the realities of climate change and the fate of the planet, you’re not alone. Luckily, Kristen Bell just gave us some eco-friendly home tips, and we’re ready to adopt each one of her suggestions — immediately.

The actress is the face of Tide’s Clean Pledge challenge, a campaign that asks consumers to pledge to adopt more environmentally sound laundry practices, such as washing with cold water and extending the life of your clothes to prevent excess textile waste, for Earth Day on April 22nd. For every person who takes the Clean Pledge, the company will donate $5 to the World Wildlife Fund, an organization that protects species, environments, and clean water, up to $250,000.
