It’s almost like she knew we needed this. Kristen Bell shared a photo from her wedding with Dax Shepard, and we’re feeling the love.
The picture, a simple black-and-white of Bell and Shepard kissing, comes at an especially good time (i.e., we’re still feeling slightly shattered from the Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan Tatum separation news. But we digress…
One of the reasons we love Bell and Shepard so much is because they never shy away from how much it takes to maintain their relationship. They’re open about how they go to couple’s counseling, and constantly say that marriage requires a lot of work on both ends. Not many celebrities talk about the real-life difficulties behind their seemingly perfect lives.
Oh, and the OTHER thing we love about the couple? Their famously low-key nuptials. Bell and Shepard got married at the Beverly Hills County Clerk’s Office on October 17th, 2013. The two previously stated that they wouldn’t tie the knot until same-sex marriage was legalized, and held that promise.

While Bell’s Instagram has a ton of pics of her and her husband together, wedding photos are extra special. She revealed in an interview with CBS Sunday Morning that the entire occasion, which she says was “one of the best days” of her life, only cost $142.
