Kristen Bell was told how The Good Place will end—but there’s an unfortunate catch

For three seasons, The Good Place has kept viewers on their toes—we’re never quite sure what’s going to happen next. The series has turned its premise upside down not once, but three times, and when it comes to the end of the show, it seems like anything could happen. But it turns out that creator Mike Schur knows exactly how The Good Place will end—and he even told Kristen Bell. On the January 23rd episode of Conan, Bell said,

"I was told. And the funny thing is, I got a lot going on and I don't remember things very well, and I forgot. I legit forgot."

O’Brien was incredulous, but Bell insisted it’s the truth.

"I got two kids, guys! That's like a lot of work!" she exclaimed. "He told me, last year he's like, 'This is how I'm gonna wrap it up, yeah, that's the right idea'—and it has exited my brain."

D’Arcy Carden, who plays Janet, joked that in that case, Bell was “the right person to tell.” LOL.

Schur has regularly confided in Bell throughout the creative process. According to Entertainment Weeklyin Season 1, he told only her and Ted Danson (Michael) that [SPOILER ALERT] they were actually in the Bad Place, meaning that the other cast members were shocked to find out.

Basically, it looks like everyone will be surprised to find out how The Good Place finally ends. E! Newsnotes that the Season 3 finale airs tonight, January 24th, and we’re betting there are even more unexpected twists coming our way.
