Kristen Bell got serenaded by a Hurricane Irma evacuee, and the video will remind you there’s good in this world

As hurricane Irma continues to threaten Florida residents and leaves many without power (not to mention the tragic destruction that has already taken place across the Caribbean), some of our favorite celebs are showing their community spirit by visiting storm shelters. In fact, Kristen Bell got serenaded by a hurricane Irma evacuee named John, who she met at a hotel that doubled as a shelter.

Even though people are full of worry about the state of their homes and communities, and no one knows the current extent of the devastation, Bell is attempting to lift spirits where she can. She posted a video on Twitter of John singing to her, and captioned it with a message for her hubby, Dax Shepard.

"Dear Dax, this is John. My side piece in Orlando. I hope you understand. I'm powerless to a man who serenades me."

We approve of this side piece, because it just won our hearts.

Of course, Bell then lent her talents to the stage to help entertain those who have been displaced. Everyone had a smile on their face.

The actress spent a lot of time with these sweet seniors, eating with them and trying to take their minds off the dangerous situation.

Here’s a photo Bell posted of hotel employees giving massages in the hallway to senior citizens. It’s amazing to see everyone helping out in such an urgent time of need. Seriously — this is exactly the kind of thing that reminds us that there is good in this world and there are real-life guardian angels — even when things seem dark.

In the meantime, we hope that everybody in affected areas are staying safe and leaning on each other for support.
