Kristen Bell shared a list of her best relationship tips on Instagram, and this should be mandatory reading

Even though the couple has claimed that their marriage requires a lot of maintenance behind the scenes, Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard’s relationship seems pretty perfect. The two share a sense of humor, a grounded sense of reality in the crazy world of Hollywood, and two darling daughters — Lincoln and Delta. So we’re happy that Bell took the time to jot down a few critical tips about marriage for the rest of us.

Bell and Shepard first met at a dinner party back in 2007. The first meet-up, in their own words, wasn’t anything to write home about. Bell reportedly told Flare Magazine that it was “not electric.” But the connection grew from that moment, despite the fact that they had completely different upbringings.

"Kristen's a good girl. She grew up very Christian, went straight to college, did great in school and started work immediately. She's charitable and philanthropic and rescues dogs. So when we met, our backgrounds were opposites," Shepard admitted to Playboy. "All the things I'd done were terrifying to her, and she had a hard time believing I would ever be able to stay married and monogamous and a father and all those things. For the first year and a half we were together, that was what we battled over almost weekly."

That being said, Bell posted a photo on Instagram of some handwritten tips, writing that she felt she could give some “old married woman” wisdom to a few newlyweds.

"After I was finished I realized what I wrote is pretty much the A-Z of how @daxshepard and I keep our relationship healthy," Bell noted. "It's worked for us so far, So here ya go."

Bell makes so many good points, we honestly think she should consider writing a book on the subject.

Seriously girl — we’re ready for it when you are!
