Kristen Bell shared the most relatable picture of homeschooling her daughters

During the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, parents everywhere are getting a new appreciation for their children’s teachers. After all, many moms and dads have had to become teachers themselves. One of these parents is Kristen Bell, who is homeschooling her two daughters with Dax Shepard, Delta and Lincoln. On Tuesday, Bell posted an Instagram of herself teaching her kids, and pretty much all of her parent followers were like, “SAME.”

“Homeschool’s going okay,” Bell captioned her Instagram photo.

The picture shows one daughter sitting next to her, one climbing on top of her shoulders, her dog sitting in her lap, and a computer and the kids’ schoolwork in front of her. Basically, parents are jungle gyms that are also meant to teach every school subject right now. Oh, and provide snacks. As you can see, Bell’s kids are working on those, too.

Other parents who saw the post really connected with it and told Bell that they’ve been experiencing the same thing. She also got some responses from fellow actors, including Mindy Kaling who wrote, “You’re such a winner.” Bell’s Good Place co-star William Jackson Harper commented, “Oh mom,” while Step by Step‘s Christine Lakin added, “Omg same. They have to be all over me. Tons of seats and everyone’s in my lap.”

Bell also responded to one commenter with a parenting tip that her followers appreciated.

The Frozen star was asked about the pictures on her window, and she explained that when her 5-year-old was feeling frustrated, she made a list of things that she’s allowed to control. Bell wrote that her daughter’s list includes, “1. When I get my gummie vitamins 2. When I wear my diaper 3. When I have my breakfast :)”

While it looks like Bell’s homeschooling experience is stressful—as it is for everyone—her kids approve. On May 1st, Bell shared a note her 7-year-old left her. It reads, “You are a great home teacher!” We can assume “and jungle gym and snack provider” is implied.
