Get ready, Krispy Kreme will be selling GREEN donuts on Friday

If you’re looking for more cool stuff to add to your St. Patrick’s Day bucket list, these green original glazed Krispy Kreme donuts are for you. Yup, that’s right, folks — warm, sweet, soft, gooey, and GREEN, these donuts are what St. Patty’s Day dreams (and the latter half of The Grinch) are made of.

We’re thinkin’ about driving through McDonald’s for a Shamrock Shake, and then hitting up Krispy Kreme after and just falling into a sweet, sweet festive sugar coma. Bonus points if you live in Chicago and consume both by the river while it’s dyed.

Krispy Kreme’s O’Riginal glazed (hardy har har) green donuts will only be available for one day: Friday, March 17th. Which, y’know. Duh.

This isn’t the first time that Krispy Kreme has whipped out some festive fad food. Last fall, we got some ~pumpkin spice~ donuts which was nearly the best thing ever. But these green puppies are definitely going to give the pumpkin spice a run for its money. In the announcement, Krispy Kreme Chief Marketing Officer Jackie Woodward shared out excitement.

“St. Patrick’s Day is the perfect occasion to change the color of the Original Glazed®, and our customers love sharing them with family and friends. What’s even rarer – like finding a four-leaf clover – is altering the name of such an iconic product. We’ve never done it. But in this instance, it’s fun and joyful, just like the holiday.

Well, we’re O’Veryjoyed at the prospect of these O’Riginal Glazed Donuts and we can wait to order a cool dozen to…definitely share with all of our friends and not eat by ourselves in the car on the way to work…
