For many, the holiday season is a time to come together with loved ones and share in some good-natured cheer. Or be totally scared out of your wits by a horrible beast coming to steal bad children. That’s right, people — this year, Krampus is coming to town.
In the first trailer for the holiday horror film Krampus, the ancient legend of Santa’s wicked counterpart comes to life and terrorizes a family together for Christmas. The movie, which stars Toni Collette and Adam Scott (heart eyes), has a lot of horror movie calling cards — creepy footprints, spooky toy sounds, and a family stuck in one house with no way of escaping thanks to a blizzard. Not very holly jolly, you guys.
