Kourtney Kardashian shut down mommy-shamers with one perfect clapback
It’s a sad fact of life that parents are often criticized for the ways they choose to raise their children. The internet shames moms for everything from their children’s haircuts (yes, really) to their breastfeeding methods. And Kourtney Kardashian was recently mom-shamed for a picture she posted while on vacation. But luckily, she got the last word.
The oldest of the Kardashian siblings is currently relaxing in Italy with her boyfriend and three children, Mason, Penelope, and Reign Disick. In a July 9th photo Kourtney posted to Instagram, she appears to be enjoying her trip, lounging on a yacht in Portofino with a basket of bread.
"Just finished my daily basket of focaccia...hbu?" Kourtney captioned the photo.
It didn’t take long for trolls to roll in and attack. ET reported that one Instagram user wrote, “Where are your kids?” implying that the reality star was somehow neglecting her children.
"My son was taking the photo, and the other two were sitting at a table across from me," she replied. "Thank you so much for your concern."
Kourtney’s clapback received more than 79,000 likes.
Other commenters defended the star’s choices. User dollydolly2823 wrote, “She’s a good mom she takes her babies everywhere,” with a winky face emoji. And pamcunagin wrote, “Why is it anyone’s business as to where her kids are. She’s a very good mother!” But really, Kourtney’s parenting abilities shouldn’t have been called into question even if her children hadn’t been there. Because yes — sometimes parents go on vacation without their children (and especially when they’re co-parenting with an ex), and it’s in no way a reflection of their parenting.
It seems like Kourtney isn’t letting the haters get her down. She’s been posting pics of herself and her adorable kids throughout the trip, and it looks like the whole family is having an epic time.
