Gorgeous “gay Black fathers” from Instagram now have an equally gorgeous commercial
When they uploaded a photo of their daily routine these two fathers had no idea they were going to be catapulted into the limelight. Kordale and Kaleb shared their —now viral— picture on Instagram and received an avalanche of comments. Some were really positive and inspiring and others, well, let’s just say haters will always find a reason to hate.
As a kid I loathed waking up early in the morning almost as much as I hated having my hair brushed (anyone labeled a “tender head” will feel me on this) so I saw the picture as a beautiful family moment in the middle of what is normally the most trying part of the day. The photogenic family’s photo was shared and liked over 40,000 times and their morning routine turned into a teaching moment for those who had never seen “two gay Black fathers” co-parenting.
It has been over a year since the photo has gone viral and the “two gay Black fathers” are educators and speakers for the LGBTQ community. It’s very fitting that the camera company Nikon approached Kordale and Kaleb for their “I Am Generation Image” campaign. Watch their heartwarming commercial and hear them explain why their photos are so important to them as a family and a community.
