Kit Harington just dropped a bomb about Jon Snow
It has been 93 days since Jon Snow died. YES I HAVE BEEN KEEPING TRACK. And every single day, some little piece of evidence comes forward, suggesting that he’s still alive. Or, suggesting that he is still very much dead. It’s been a long 93 days. And now, the man behind Jon Snow, Kit Harington, just dropped a HUGE detail that just might confirm he’ll be back for real.
Over the past few months, there have been plenty of hints signaling Jon Snow is alive and well, from Harrington’s long Snow-esque hair at Wimbledon, to the fact that he’s has been spotted in Ireland (where Game of Thrones shoots a lot of scenes). But alas, this is all only speculation as the next season of Game of Thrones is currently on lockdown. Even Harington’s (former?) cast members have no idea if he’s dead or alive. It’s all been shrouded in secrecy, and Harington has been pretty good about not spoiling things one way or another. But in a recent interview with Belgian magazine Humo, he may have let the cat out of the bag.
In the interview, Harington casually mentions that he knows “how long [he is] still under contract.” The interviewer tries to get more out of him, asking HOW LONG?
Harington responds, “I can’t talk about that. Let’s just say that Game of Thrones will remain a part of my life for a while, I’ll probably be in my thirties when it’s over.”
As Mashable points out, Harington is 28 right now, and will turn 29 at the end of this year. So since he’s not in his 30s now. . . and he’s suggesting that he’ll be in his 30s when it’s over. . . could this mean what we HOPE it means?
Even if Harington returns to the show as Jon Snow, Jon Snow could still be dead. He could simply be filming flashback scenes, or dream sequences, or something else crazy/weird in Westeros. Or he could really be coming back to life at The Wall. So let’s look at the positive here, and take this little admission of Harington’s as a BIG CLUE. File this information under status: ALIVE.
