Kirsten Dunst revealed why she’s never had her teeth “fixed”
Actress Kirsten Dunst has been in the industry since she was a small child. Over the years, her look has become iconic, an unforgettable mix of classic style and modern couture. But her signature feature has to be her smile; beautiful, sincere and, to some, a little crooked. In a recent interview with Vogue, Kirsten Dunst explained why she’s never “fixed” her teeth, and we think the reason is awesome.
We all know our friends can lift us up and make us feel like a million bucks, no matter how low we get. While discussing her new movie The Beguiled, Dunst waxed about how wonderful director and BFF Sofia Coppola is. The two have a long and solid friendship, and Dunst trusts Coppola implicitly.
“I always looked up to Sofia as a cool older sister,” Dunst told Vogue. “I remember she said, ‘I love your teeth, don’t ever fix them,’ so when I was asked at 20 years old to fix them for a role, I said, ‘No, Sofia thinks they’re cool. I’ll keep them.’”

How sweet is that!
Coppola and Dunst have been extremely close since the two worked together on the film The Virgin Suicides back in 1999. Their friendship is pretty epic, spanning numerous films (including Marie Antoinette and now The Beguiled, too), and we love that Dunst took her friend’s words so sincerely and to heart.
After all, her smile is part of who she is, and it’s fabulous. We’re glad Dunst decided to keep her teeth as is, and that she has friends like Coppola around to watch her back. Now that’s something to smile about!
