Naps are encouraged on the “Kimmy Schmidt” set, as if we couldn’t love the show anymore
Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt is one of Netflix’s most quirky and hilarious original series but how are the stars able to keep up with their high energy characters on set? According to Kimmy Schmidt herself, Ellie Kemper, naps are a requirement on set.
The hilarious actress attended the Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt “For Your Consideration Emmy party at UCB Sunset Theater recently where she revealed on the official Kimmy Schmidt Twitter page that naps keep everyone sane. The tweet consisted of a GIF, showing off Kemper impeccable napping skills — although we can’t help but wonder if the Kimmy Schmidt naps are just a *little* bit longer on set.

Kemper was joined by her costars Jane Krakowski, Carol Kane, and Titus Burgess, who are all being considered for Emmys. The Office alum was rocking a gorgeous two patterned floral dress, which (in our opinion) proves that florals *can* be groundbreaking in spring.
The event, which was moderated by Krakowski’s 30 Rock costar Jack McBrayer, featured the cast and producers Robert Carlock and Sam Means answering questions about the beloved series, which was recently picked up for a fourth season.
Kimmy Schmidt, unlike many shows, has been critically acclaimed for each of its three seasons, having been nominated for 11 Emmys previously. Seeing how we have a hard time choosing the best scene stealer in the cast, we think this may *finally* be the year for Kemper and the rest of the hilarious cast.
