Kim Kardashian will no longer cover up her psoriasis for this reason

Kim Kardashian was first diagnosed with psoriasis in 2010 and after years of feeling like she needed to hide it, she’s finally becoming more comfortable in her skin. (ICYMI, psoriasis is a skin disease that leaves red, itchy, scaly patches on the skin. As of now, there isn’t a cure, but there’s treatment.)

In a new blog post shared on her app and website on Wednesday, Kim makes it clear that she no longer covers up her skin to hide anything.

“I have that one patch on my right leg that is the most visible,” she wrote. “I don’t even really try to cover it that much anymore. Sometimes I just feel like it’s my big flaw and everyone knows about it, so why cover it?”

During a recent livestream, Kardashian revealed that she does, in fact, get butt injections – but they’re for her psoriasis.

She explained, “One of my neighbors happened to be a dermatologist. He saw that I had psoriasis and recommended that I get a cortisone shot to help combat the inflammation. So now, every few years, I get a cortisone shot to help combat the inflammation from my psoriasis.”

In the post, she included a video filmed at a photoshoot where her psoriasis patches are clearly visible.

We’re so happy Kardashian continues to be open about her psoriasis as she reminds others that they’re not alone – because psoriasis is absolutely nothing to be ashamed of.
