Kim Kardashian had to Photoshop North West into the family Christmas card

We weren’t going to say anything because we didn’t want to be critical right out of the gate. (It’s Christmastime!) But now that we know North West was Photoshopped into her family Christmas card, we’re coming clean: We knew something was up with this pic. We just knew it.

Usually, the entire Kardashian-West-Jenner-etc. family comes together to shoot a collaborative Christmas card. However, Kim Kardashian West explained to Ellen on The Ellen DeGeneres Show that, this year, that just wasn’t going to happen. Conflicting schedules made the family photoshoot impossible, so Kim decided to put out a card with just her immediate family.

“And even that was so dramatic,” Kim told Ellen.

"It's the most anxiety to get four kids together smiling in a room," she continued. "North was having a day, so she refused to be in the shoot. She just was crying because she wanted her specific hairstyle, whatever.

Kim told North that if she wanted to have a tantrum, she wasn’t going to be on the card. North, in her rage, said fine. However, the next day, little North changed her tune and wanted to make an appearance. “Thank god the photographer was still in town,” Kim said.

The photographer worked with Kim to trick North into taking a nice photo, and she worked her magic to seamlessly edit North into the photo, right behind brother Saint.

(And no, she’s not the one sitting on Kanye’s lap, as Ellen believed. That’s Chicago.)

“There’s always one,” Kim said, referring to that certain kid in every family who won’t play by the rules. Ain’t it the truth? We’re glad North came around to the idea of appearing in the family Christmas card…but we’re also dying to know what hairstyle she wouldn’t do the shoot without.

The diva vibes are strong—just the way we like them.
