The internet thinks Kim Kardashian may have just hinted at her new baby’s name on Instagram
Ever since Kim Kardashian announced that she and Kanye West welcomed a new baby girl into their brood earlier this week, fans have been scrounging for more intel on baby West number three. And though we’re respectful of the family enjoying the precious first days and weeks with their newest addition, we of course have one major question: What’s her name?
And Kim’s latest Instagram post has fans certifiably freaking out, convinced she dropped a major baby-name clue.
Back in November, Kim told Ellen DeGeneres that she and Kanye planned on choosing a short, easy, one-syllable name that’s also “unique,” as they did for North and Saint. But her most recent Instagram post has internet sleuths thinking she abandoned that to name her baby after an iconic fashion brand.
Kim posted a photo of Louis Vuitton’s signature print, found on dozens of Kim’s handbags of yore, which fans think is a not-so-subtle hint that the Wests named their baby Louis.
She didn’t caption the photo, but we do know both Kim and Kanye love Louis Vuitton, and Kanye once nicknamed himself “the Louis Vuitton don.” He’s also referenced the eponymous French designer in his lyrics over the years, most notably in “Gold Digger” (“With a baby Louis Vuitton under her underarm.”) BABY LOUIS VUITTON?
Many fans believe they’ve officially cracked the baby name code on this one. We should point out, however, that January 18th marks the last runway show from Louis Vuitton men’s wear artistic director Kim Jones, so Kardashian’s social media post could just be in tribute to him.

And then, of course, there were these super-luxe Louis Vuitton-inspired garbage cans Kim showed off on social media just a few days before the baby’s birth…
