Kim Kardashian had some *very* harsh words for Donald Trump’s presidency

When Kim Kardashian-West sat down with Harper’s Bazaar Arabia for her cover story interview recently, she dished on all sorts of topics. Like her parenting style, when too much makeup is too much, and what she thinks of Instagram moments. Kardashian-West also commented on Donald Trump and why she doesn’t follow him on Twitter. Politics is not exactly the first thing that comes to mind when one thinks of the Kardashian family, but Kim’s comments were pretty scathing.

When asked if she followed Trump on Twitter she flat out said no. “But I follow Obama,” she added, without any sense if irony. When asked who she thought should run the country? “Not the president right now,” Kardashian said with a “deadpan” expression according to the magazine’s editors and accompanying video.

“Anyone can run the U.S. better. My daughter would be better.”

Day-UM. And although she was obviously joking, since North is only 4 years old, we would absolutely get behind North’s bid for the White House one day. But only if Blue Ivy is running mate. Sorry, not sorry.

Although Kardashian-West most often posts on social media about her beauty line or other glamorous aspects of her life (which we love) she has obviously been thinking about politics. Kardashian-West added in her interview:

"We’ve worked so hard to get to where we were and to have so many things that we were so proud of in our country, to just literally revert backwards is the most frustrating thing. Every single day when you can’t really believe what’s going on, the next day it’s something else even more crazy and tragic."

She added, “It’s really scary, the world that we’re living in now. And when you did feel safe at home, now with Trump in [the] presidency you just don’t feel safe anymore.”

You can hear her suggest North for president yourself around the one-minute mark in the video below.

This isn’t the first time Kardashian-West has let it be known that she’s bummed about the current administration. On Obama’s last day, she posted an emotional message on her blog with pictures of her family posing with the president. (North was crying in them, maybe because she knew her mom was going to make her get a job in politics before she was even in kindergarten.)

That’s a pretty outspoken political move for the Kardashian crew, so you have to hand it to Kim for speaking out for what she believes in. North definitely has a good role model to look up to.
